The Qatar Ladies Open draws in over 100 lady golfers in its first installment.

Doha airport has been overwhelmed with more than a hundred golfers coming for the first tee-off of the Qatar Ladies Open on Wednesday, November 23. The four-day event will be held at the Doha Golf Club, and will be the newest destination on the schedule of the Ladies European Tour.

A series of 21 tournaments, the Ladies European Tour is held from every February until December around the world, passing by famous gold venues in countries across the globe, including New Zealand, Australia, China, Japan, Morocco, as well as several European nations.

The two newcomers to this year’s line-up are the Gulf nations Qatar and the UAE, with players arriving to Doha throughout the weekend, and have begun practice runs on the course since Sunday.

The Qatar Ladies Open will kick-off at 6:30 on the morning of November 23, where world-class golfers will be playing for the QAR 2 million prize. Among the contenders are names like Florentyna Parker, Trish Johnson, Gwladys Nocera, Anna Nordqvist, Caroline Hedwall, and of course UK’s Laura Davies, who has won the Ladies European Tour order of merit a record seven times.

It will run until November 26, with tickets being for free and can be pre-booked through their website, where you can find the schedule as well.
