Qatari women Haya Al Ghanim and Amina Ahmadi have launched a crowdfunding campaign for Oola Sports, the country’s first company specialized in modest sports were for women, compliant with Islamic rites.

After being tired of searching for sportswear that are both comfortable, practical and modest while training for a hike up Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa’s highest summit, the duo decided to start their own line.

The two have spent over a year creating and fine-tuning their ideas for loose-fitting active-wear with a designer, and are know crowd-sourcing funding to help create their clothe line. They are doing it through the famous kick-starter website Indiegogo and aim at raisin some QAR 55,000 ($15,000).

They said that any additional money raised beyond the QAR 55,000, will be invested in production, as well as the creation to a modest swimwear line. Anyone who donates will be able to enjoy first collection items on a discount price.

The first Oola Sports collection is said to feature non-slip breathable oola-sports-founderheadscarves, and loose and sweat-wicking tops that are lower than usual tops and have full-length sleeves.
