The revolutionary Umm Slal Health and Wellness Center has opened its doors to help the people of Qatar achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani, the Umm Slal Health and Wellness Center opened its doors to promote a healthier lifestyle to the people of Qatar.
Working under the Primary Health Care Corporation, Umm Slal Health and Wellness Center is the third of its kind, and is planned to cater to over 50,000 people.
The new center will be offering residents a complete set of integrated primary healthcare services, in a bid to encourage citizens to adopt a more healthy lifestyle.
Umm Salal Health and Wellness Center is the third one to be opened by the Primary Health Care Corporation this year, and a total of 10 more are planned to open between 2017 and 2019, four of them next year.
Already, up to 36,000 patients have signed up at the center, and 30,000 of them are already active members. In addition to specialized clinics, the wellness center includes a gymnasium, advanced sports equipment, a swimming pool, a massage area, as well as sauna and physiotherapy facilities, for both males and females throughout the week.
The building has 64 clinics of several different disciplines. Some specialize in family medicine and dentistry, others are walk-in clinics or specialized in health promotion. The clinics are supported by a range of laboratories, radiology and physiotherapy rooms, and also a pharmacy.
