Pasta Casserole
Ingredients
500 Grams pasta
500 Grams lean ground beef
900 Grams spaghetti sauce
250 Grams sliced fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 Teaspoon olive oil
1 Can diced or Italian-style stewed tomatoes
1 Cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Salt and pepper
Add the olive oil and a pinch of salt to a pot full of water and bring to the boil. Add the pasta and cook for around 9 minutes until al dente. Drain and put aside for a few.
In a large pan, brown the beef properly, drain from excess grease and add the spaghetti sauce, mushrooms and tomatoes. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
Layer the beef under the pasta in a baking tray, and top off with the cheese.
Bake for 20 minutes in a preheated oven.
Serve while still hot and cheese is creamy.
