What to visit

Experience The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Who haven’t wished of visiting Hogwarts and being part of the world of Harry Potter? Growing up with Harry, all the children in my school wanted to be wizards, attend the Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry, and play a game Quidditch.

What was once a fantasy, and a far-fetched dream can now become reality at the The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme parks.

There are several Harry Potter themed parks from USA to Japan, but the original two are between Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida, and they are connected by the Hogwart Express!

The Islands of Adventure theme park, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter

At the Islands of Adventure, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened in June, 2010, and includes a re-creation of Hogsmeade, the only English town inhabited purely by wizards and magical creatures. The town is located just a small distance from a replica Hogwarts which you can have all sorts of fun in.

The Universal Studios Florida theme park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

The Universal Studios Florida park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened just back in July 2014. There you can experience a full size re-creation of Diagon Alley and other connecting alleys, as well as, a small section of Muggle London. The alley includes all the shops and restaurants from the books, like The Leaky Cauldron, Ollivanders Wand Shop, Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, Borgin and Burkes, Madam Malkin’s Robes for All Occasions, Wiseacre’s Wizarding Equipment, and Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlour.

Of course both theme parks have awesome rides and attractions, all inspired or directly from the books. But those you’ll have to experience for yourself.
