As part of Ramadan spirit, The Life Pile will suggest daily recipes that are easy and tasty. Today’s recipe is: Original Swedish Meatballs
Original Swedish Meatballs
500 Grams minced beef
1½ Cups of milk
¾ Cup White breadcrumbs
Salt & pepper
Dice up the onion finely and saute over a little butter without browning them. Meanwhile, you should soak the breadcrumbs in the milk.
Using a mixer, blend the minced beef with the onion, milky breadcrumbs, egg and the spices. If the mixture feels too firm add a little bit of water.
Using your hands, make small meatballs, and gently insert them to a pan with browned butter. Shake the frying pan often, and brown your meatballs on all sides.
Serve to side of mashed or boiled potatoes, and to make it extra Swedish use raw lingonberry mash for dip.
