3D Printing & Medicine

3D printing is the latest in industrial technology. Building things, making things, assembling things, has become so much easier, especially given that 3D printers have begun becoming retail items. People are now 3D printing shoes, clothes, accessories, and so much more. However one of the major aspects which 3D printing has affected is the medical industry.

Plenty of invention, technology, and innovation have so far happened in the 3D printing industry, when it comes to the medicine, so today we thought it is time to shed light on the subject, and inform our readers, on how the 3D printing industry is now becoming groundbreaking.

Of the things which have changed since 3D printing emerged is first and foremost our ability to create artificial tissue, this has allowed experts to create tissues with blood vessels through bio-printing. Prosthetic parts are no longer expensive, as 3D printing has diminished the cost, and has become a tool for printing these parts quite easily, especially given that their normal production requires a lot of time, and money.

Additionally, the medical industry was greatly influenced by 3D printing especially since it has lead the drug industry in a new direction, instead of going to the pharmacy, and purchasing our medication, 3D printing now allows us to purchase the blue print, along with the chemical ink, and actually make the drug with our 3D printers.

So much has changed with 3D printing, and the above is a mere fraction of it, 3D printing now involves making synthetic skin, creating a heart valve, even ear cartilage. Some of the industries expected to boom with this technology is the dental and hearing aid industry, both which are expected to have the largest scales of development.
