Qatar Celebrates International Women’s Day With ‘How Women Work’ Conference

An important event for women is about to take place in Qatar at the Grand Hyatt Hotel Doha on March 8 to 9 and it’s called  the ‘How Women Work’ conference.

The theme for the seventh annual conference is dubbed ‘Connecting the Dots’ giving that it connects different women from Qatar within a 2-day event that coincides with International Women’s Day celebrated on March 8.

The event’s targets is to empower women in Qatar to grow and succeed and it will feature two high-profile keynote speakers. The first one will be Sheikha Alanoud Bint Hamad Al Thani from Silatech Qatar, a sponsor of the event for the second year and member of the Global Shapers Community. The second inspirational speaker will be Dr Kholode Al Obaidli, Vice-President and HR National Talent Management of Qatar Airways, a longstanding supporter of the initiative and one that has given workshops during previous years.

It is worth noting that this is also an interactive and inspiring event, which includes not only panel discussions but also workshops and activities that span across four divisions: one for entrepreneurs and executives, one for employees and job seekers, one for individual women with ambitions and aspirations and one for Arabic speakers for the first time.

Caroline Zeitler, HWW founder, explains that one of their main goals is to reach hearts and minds, break down barriers and promote understanding, adding that “the conference attracts amazing women from all kinds of background and cultures, giving attendees a platform to take practical skills and lessons and apply them to their lives for their continued growth and development.”
