L’Oreal Introduces A UV Tracker Patch

This is the time of year, when we begin our preparations for the summer season, such as buying a summer wardrobe, picking our swimsuits, vacation spots, and so many details. One specific thing we all never skip to purchase is our sunscreen. Whether it is an SPF50 or whichever, we should never fail to care for our skin, especially given the sun’s intensity.

Subjecting yourself to too much sun, often results in skin burn, which in itself causes dark spots, dry skin, dehydration, and skin diseases. However L’Oreal and in partnership with PCH, have come up with an extremely innovative product that rids you from wondering whether or not you have been subjected to the sun for too long.

The cosmetics giant, have debuted their “Sun Exposure Tracker Patch”. A small patch you stick to your skin, which indicates whether you have gotten enough solar exposure. It is a patch that detects UV rays. Consumers will be able to stick the patch to their skin, take a photo of the patch and upload it to the mobile app, which analyzes the varying photosensitive dye squares to determine the amount of UV exposure the wearer has received.  This ‘my UV patch’ is expected to be on the shelves later within this year.

Another amazing innovation in the world of beauty, it is amazing to see such big manufacturers creating products that sustain human life, rather than implicate negative effects on it.loreal tracker patch 2
