On Leonardo DiCaprio’s Utter Brilliance!

We all love Leo but so far he hasn’t won the best actor award at the Oscars, and this is what all of his fans wish for him on February 28 when the 88th Academy Awards will take place. Here some of the reasons why Leo definitely deserves to be finally appreciated.

This year Leo has been nominated for his role in ‘The Revenant’, this is Leo’s chance to finally win an Oscar since he has been snubbed so far by the Academy. His past nominations include best actor for ‘The Aviator’ (2004) and ‘Blood Diamond’ (2006). The 41 year-old Hollywood star has delivered an astonishing performance in his latest feature where he plays a frontiersman on a fur trading expedition in the 1820s. His character Hugo Glass gets mauled by a bear and is left for dead by his companions in the cold and wild, but he manages to get back for revenge. Chilling!

After winning best actor in The Aviator (2005) and The Wolf of Wall Street (2014) at the Golden Globes, he also won this year best actor for ‘The Revenant’. The best thing about ceremony is that he made his speech not about himself but about the indigenous people all around the world, calling for protecting their land.

He is an extremely talented actor and continues to receive international appraise for his performances, winning so far more than 40 awards. He has made us cry as Jack Dawson in ‘Titanic’ (1997), dazzled us as Jay Gatsby in ‘The Great Gatsby’ (2013), amazed us in ‘Inception’ (2010), and will continue to do so in his future movies. Not only is he talented, Leo is also a committed environmental activist. He was recently awarded a ‘Crystal Award’ at the World Economic Forum in Davos for “improving the state of the world.” He also pledged to donate $15 million more through his foundation to help protect the environment.

Leo, whether you win, or not, you bring character to the table. Leo is a performer, and an artist of all means, mind, body, soul.
