Doha Cultural Festival
It’s the biggest event celebrating the culture of Qatar. Held during the month of March, Doha Cultural Festival has a various selection of programs around music, poetry, theatre and dance. The festival, organized by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Heritage, attracts each year thousands of visitors with its unique highlighting of the region’s beautiful culture.
Qatar Summer Festival
During this annual festival, Qatar turns into a city of colors and a spectacle of creativity and exciting entertainment. Usually organized in August for a whole month, Qatar Summer Festival is an event of non-stop fun, live shows, shopping promotions and recreational activities for the entire family.
Qatar International Food Festival
This one is for food lovers who can enjoy this free four-day event every year in March in the open air at the Museum of Islamic Art’s park. Doha’s most renowned chefs will demonstrate their art and food creations while food kiosks will give everyone the chance to try different Middle Eastern recipes.
Art Festival of Qatar
The country organizes each December the Art Festival of Qatar to support talented local artists. Several art galleries and museums throughout the country will display works by local artists but also of nearby countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
Qatar Marine Festival
Since 2010, the Qatar Marine Festival takes place in the month of March every year, along the Doha seafront. This free event promotes culture and education in an entertaining way and includes aquatic animal shows and water-related sports and activities. This maritime festivity also features Qatari professionals teaching the public about pearl fishing and the art of making fishing nets.
