Trends For Fall Winter 2014/2015; An Overall Look

Gucci Fall Winter 2014/2015

If we are to run by the most impressing trends we have been seeing on the runway during the latest fashion weeks, they would be directed towards more flash and pizzazz; we see so much vivid color, patterns, fabrics, and prints. Overall every runway looked like a scene from a bright 70’s flick! Designers are opting for greater risks and a more concrete direction in the way of loud clothing. Design houses are getting more and more expressive, the proportions used, along with the fabrics induce a longing for an era distinguished by feminine shapes, bold make up, pixie hair cuts, and asymmetric shapes.

We also see a persistent admiration of bohemian wear. Every runway this season gleamed with romance, and comfort, wish shades of white, denim, brown, and with plenty of suede. Magic was made on the runways of Dolce & Gabbana with their gorgeous head-wear and colorful scarves portraying the optimum of elegance. Miumiu took us to another time when everything was picture perfect, Chloe intimidated us with mesmerisingly romantic, flowing dresses of whites and navy blue. Celine used leather in it’s most interesting forms, creating beautiful shapes with leather rugged draping. Burberry’s runway was all about fringe, and suede! Also complementing the bohemian theme reigning over fashion week.  Versace’s pieces were all about mini dresses, and statement colors.
